艺人介绍
DJShadow，原名PaulBlair，职业为DJ、音乐制作人与音响师，在芝加哥工作。他在俄亥俄州长大，但是在Detroit上学。他17岁在日本的时候开始做DJ，并且做了一些在网上很流行的混音歌曲。
James听过他在美国公司HollywoodBasic所发表的作品后，把他带到英国，罗至Mo’Wax旗下，成为Mo’Wax的开国功臣。James曾跟不同的音乐类型的厂牌合作过，像Warp，CupOfTea，NinjaTune等，喜欢TripHop的乐迷一定很熟悉这三个厂牌，这三个厂牌旗下的乐队多少都和TripHop有些相关，Warp旗下的RedSnapper的部分作品就有点接近TripHop。作为较早一批玩实验HipHop的DJ，DjShadow同样拒绝了讨好大众的Rap，而是进一步放慢鼓机的节奏，并且喜欢加入Jazz音乐元素，这点对后来的instrumentalHipHop的DJ们等人都产生了很大的影响。
